Where love lives

A 10-metre-tall wire sculpture on the Vál ridge — a man and a woman seated back to back, and the children inside them reaching for each other.

The LOVE sculpture — Alexander Milov, 2015 / Vál since 2017.

The journey

From Burning Man to the Vál ridge

The monumental work of Ukrainian sculptor Alexander Milov stands in Vál — first shown at the 2015 Burning Man Festival in the United States, where it earned worldwide acclaim.

In 2017 it travelled, by an adventurous route, to the Haraszthy estate. What makes the sculpture special isn’t only its scale: it sits in the middle of our Vál vineyards, framed by them, monumental on the ridge.

The meaning

What the sculpture says

A man and a woman, formed from wire, seated back to back and turned inward — and the inner children inside them, turned toward each other, reaching out their hands.

The wire
The conflict between women and men.
The child
The embrace, the love, the longing for the other.
The couple
Seated back to back — the hurt, the loneliness, the shell.
The frame
10 metres tall, 16 metres wide — first stood at Burning Man.

Reductive in style, energetic on the palate — a feeling and a place, shared again with someone every time you pour a glass.
